Camp San Juan is a renovated 1879 - era cabin located in downtown Buena Vista, Colorado. It's a perfect #basecamp for mountain excursions. We purchased the cabin in 2015 and spend a year renovating it after discovering the hand-chinked logs beneath 135 years of renovations.
“At the top of the mountain, we are all snow leopards.”
— hunter s. thompson, journalist
The cabin sleeps 7 people in two bedrooms - 5 in the bunkhouse upstairs and a master bedroom on the ground floor. The cabin has been completely re-done from head to toe over the past year. It features a new chef's kitchen with gas range and stainless steel appliances throughout. Norwegian stoves. Bocci balls. Cold beers.
Our Mission
We've been coming to BV for years and our mission is to create a one-of-a-kind hospitality experience for friends and family to use as a basecamp when they come to Colorado. There's so much to do outdoors, and so many amenities available locally, this seemed like the perfect place to set up camp and explore.
Since putting the cabin on Airbnb in February of 2017, we have had over 100 guests and our average rating it 4.9/5.0. The reviews we’ve received and the personal notes of thanks left in the cabin have been something that has made the Camp San Juan so special to us.
